This was our first P&O cruise although in the late 60's early 70's I worked on board the original Oriana. Cruising has become a more mass media holiday and regretfully the large liners are very impersonal. The Peninsular resteraunt was mediocre, several tables around us constantly returning food (served cold) The buffet style resteraunt after one try became a no go area for us. A sharp reminder of school dinners! The only one saveing grace was ORana Rhodes. Well worth the supplement and food of a standard that you should expect. We were subjected to contstant noise in A141 as this is located directly beneath the gym and so weights dropping onto unmatted floors made our cabin shake. Unable to change cabin as full ship. After multitude of complaints including the CAptain we were offered
