Just 1 day out ship hit with bad weather and NOROVIRUS. Captain announced closure of buffett resteraunt, spa pools, pools. All fruit removed from bars etc. This lasted for half of the cruise including Christmas & NY day!. Ship unable to get into Spanish port due to bad weather. No detour or replacement offered, simply slowed down until the the next port, saving thousands on fuel! and berthing fees etc. Captains messages and attitude very arrogant.
All of this is a great pity as what a grand ship Arcadia is. the quality of the food far superior to our last crusie which was on Oriana. Likewise the entertainment.
Just a shame Christmas was ruined. On dissembarcation I have never heard such comments as people left the ship, such as Thank God, Worst crusie ever. |
