Albany was once a major whaling station and coal shipping port, and is known to be the oldest European settlement in Western Australia. Albany is a pretty town with great coastal views from the top of both Mt. Clarence and Mt. Melville. There are also a number of historical buildings, including the Victorian buildings along Stirling Terrace.
