There are numerous wonderful places on our planet, but one that simply requires the word ‘awesome’ is Doubtful Sound in New Zealand. Situated in the Fjordland National Park a World Heritage Area, Doubtful Sound is the second largest of 14 fjords. It was named after. Captain Cook, who in 1770 did not enter these waters as he was not sure if they were navigable, hence the name ‘Doubtful’.
