Dunedin is situated on South Island New Zealand, and is the southernmost city in the world. Dunedin means Edinburgh in Gaelic and was named after its Scottish founders who built many elaborate Edwardian and Victorian monuments, houses and museums. A must visit is the Cadbury Chocolate factory, the railway station and the Chinese gardens. Dunedin has lovely cafes, fine restaurants and a wealth of shops that sell authentic New Zealand souvenirs.
