Situated off the north east coast of Ireland and only 16miles from the Mull of Kintyre in Scotland, Rathlin Island is only 8 miles long and a mile wide and is a marine botanical paradise. The island itself is home to huge sea cliffs, in places up to 470 feet high. There are also three lighthouses on the island, testimony to the wild coast line which has had over 40 recorded shipwrecks.
