Canada Cruises

Destination description

Canada always seems to find itself being compared to and competing against the US, but when it come to a true natural wow factor, Canada is going to take some beating. Boasting panoramic ocean views, soaring mountain peaks and impressive wildlife, Canada has boundless natural beauty. Starting with a cruise on the west coast, Vancouver is a must visit for its sophistication and multicultural pleasures. Behind Vancouver you get the snow-cloaked peaks of the Rocky Mountains, the Cariboo ranch lands, grizzly bear country, Kootenays hot springs, and the famous ski resorts to name a few highlights. A cruise on the east coast of Canada is known for its autumnal blaze of colours with fiery orange and red foliage. This is the more traditional laid back Canada and New England cruise, but nowadays there are far more fast paced cruise options including speedboat rides in the Bay of Fundy, hikes in nature preserves, whale-watching trips and even white-water rafting. Little known, but Eastern Canada is a great wine producing region, with several wineries in Maine, Quebec and Nova Scotia and featured as cruise excursions on some itineraries. Halifax is well worth a visit, especially because there are more bars and pubs per capita in Halifax than in any other city in Canada!
