Chukai is the capital of the Kemaman district and is will known for its fresh seafood restaurants. Further up the coast the fishing village of Kuala Kamaman is famous for its fish paste (otak-otak). Each evening the fishing boats return from their day at sea and you can watch as they bring their catch ashore.
