Floreana is home to Post Office Bay, the most unusual post office in the world where in the 18th century whalers used a wooden barrel for their letters to be sent home. Today you can still post your postcards in the very same barrel. The islands are a nature lovers’ paradise especially in February when flamingos start their nesting season. Also expect to see iguanas, finches, sea birds and sea lions.
