Isla San Cristobel is home to the only freshwater lake in the Galapagos. The north of the island is volcanic whilst the south is rich in vegetation and has two of the best reefs in the Galapagos. The first reef is called ‘Cristobel Light’ because of its navigation light for passing ships.
