Canades del Teide National Park: We travel to the University town of La Laguna located in the Aguere Valley. We pass the Cathedral and the alter/tomb of Alfonso Fernandez de Lugo, founder and conqueror of Tenerife and La Palma. We then head through the picturesque villages of the inner islands and the beautiful Eucalyptus Forest of La Esperanza, before we arrive at Canades del Tiede National Park and the visitors centre with exhibits of geology and culture of the islands.
