Santiago de Compostela: Famed as being one of the great places of pilgrimage, Santiago is easily reached via a new highway that shortens the journey to one and a half hours. We start our excursion at the famous cathedral at Plaza del Obradoiro famed for its Romanesque architecture and Ogival Gothic styles. Our private guide will show us the ‘Silver Urn’ which is said to contain the remains of St James the Apostle of Santiago. We can also see the 12th century Portico de la Gloria the ancient door to the cathedral.
