Situated on the south east coast of Madagascar, Fort Dauphin is known as the ‘Cote d’Azur’ of the island. The town offers splendour of Portuguese historical monuments, a lemur reserve and the Mahafaly tombs. To the west of Fort Dauphin are the vast cacti forests and to the east are the tropical jungles.
