Muscat is the capital of Oman and is simply a fabulous city to visit. The old port is the site of the Sultan’s Palace which is surrounded by magnificent mountains and the clear blue waters of the Arabian Gulf.

Mystical Muscat: We start our journey by driving through the exclusive residential area of Shati Al Qurum, then on to the Grant Mosque where we learn about its architecture and heritage. From here we head to the old city of Muscat and the splendour of the Al Alam Palace which sits between the 16th century Jalali and Mirani fortresses. We then make a stop at the Bait Al Zubai, a private museum housing collections of Omani jewellery, clothing and weapons. Finally we arrive at the famous Muttrah Souq which is a paradise for shopping for authentic Omani crafts, jewellery, clothes, wood and leather.
