Typical Excursion
Florence and Pisa: We depart the port of Livorno and drive through the beautiful Tuscan countryside to the historic university town of Pisa, where we can enjoy the historic sites and wonderful scenery.Tuscan Countryside – San Gimignano and Volterra: We drive for two hours through the medieval hill towns and stop at San Gimignano, ‘The Town of the Fine Towers’ where we have plenty of time to explore and shop. Then we head to a local farmhouse for a typical Tuscan lunch. We then drive west to the village of Volterra where we can see the Piazza dei Prion which is one of the most beautiful squares in Italy.
