Safi lies on the Atlantic Coast and was once an important Roman Port, it was known as Asfi. Safi is famous for its ceramic centre and processing of phostate rock into fertilizer, plus it is also an important fish canning industry. Safi also has an array of historical sites that date back to when the first Moroccans’ embraced Islam.
