Cruises to Honningsvaag, Norway

Port description

Boasting the title of the world’s most northerly town Honningsvaag was once a major fishing port.  This fascinating town is well within the Arctic Circle and is the last stop before the North Cape.   Expect to find amazing panoramic scenes and a busy tourism sector with cafes, shops and restaurants.

Typical Excursion

We start our tour from Honningsvaag and out along the Skipsfjord where we begin our ascent to the plateau.  We then visit the most northerly fishing village in the world which only has 200 inhabitants throughout the whole year. Transfer to the North Cape:  The North Cape is around 1,300 miles from Mageroya and is in fact a steep rock with a massive wall reaching over 1,000 ft above sea level.  Amazingly this Cape has great shopping facilities, bars and restaurants.  We also get to hear a presentation of Lapland and the Northern Cape, whilst enjoying some of the finest scenery in the world.
