Limon is the second largest city in Costa Rica and is famous for its huge carnival held in October which attracts visitors from all over the world. Limon also has a wonderful Botanical Garden and the splendid Vargas Park, ideal for strolling around. Port Limon is also a perfect base for further exploring the area, especially Tortugero which is a nesting ground for Green Sea Turtles.
