Typical Excursion

South Lanzarote Island:  We firstly visit San Jose Castle, built at the end of the 18th century which protected the port from pirates. From here we continue to Timanflaya National Park with its volcanic landscape produced between 1730 – 1736.  We firstly take a camel ride around the crater, from where you can see the vastness of the landscape.  We then drive through the vine region of La Geria where we can enjoy sampling the local wine and produce. Scenic Northern Lanzarote Island:  We drive to Teguise Beach and then to Mirador de los Helechos where we can see the Valley of a Thousand Palms.  From here we journey on to the Jameos de Agua Caves where we can see where many of the islands concerts are held.  Finally we head to the Cactus Gardens for refreshments before returning to the ship.
