Shanghai is a bustling cosmopolitan city with a population of 11 million. Shanghai manages to offer modern architecture with its old and ancient past, full of large open parks and the Huangpu River with its flotilla of Sampans, all give Shanghai a feeling of tranquillity in such a busy city.
Best of Shanghai: Shanghai has been dubbed the ‘Paris of the East’ and our first stop is at the Shanghai Museum, which houses over 110,000 historical artefacts. From here we head to the Yuyuan Garden and old town area. We then have lunch before visiting the children’s Palace. Arts & Crafts of Shanghai: We visit the Jade Buddha Temple and the Shanghai Arts & Crafts Research Institute.
