Typical Excursion

Panoramic Stockholm: You will visit the city districts of S?dermalm, Gamla Stan, Norrmalm, ?stermalm and Djurg?rden, each with its own special character. Cross Gamla Stan, the enchanting, medieval Old Town passing the Royal Palace over-looking Stockholm's inner harbor. Drive west along S?der M?larstrand to cross the Western Bridge spanning Riddarfj?rden, offering extensive views of the city skyline and the City Hall. Proceed past the city center, the focal point of modern Stockholm along Strandv?gen to the island of Djurg?rden. Tour the island, regarded as Stockholm's outdoor recreation center, with Gr?na Lund Tivoli, Skansen open-air Museum and extensive park lands beyond. The Ice Bar and Old Town: Witness the historic elegance of the exterior of the dominating Royal Palace combined with the possibility to stroll along the narrow, twisting alleys and cobbled stoned streets. You will experience the medieval intimacy of what is today a living historical monument of international renown. Continue through the city center of Stockholm and on to the Nordic Hotel right in the heart of the city where the world's first permanent ice bar is located. The interior is kept at below zero temperature -5 degrees Celcius all year round. All of the interior including glasses are made of pure, clear ice from the Torne River in Northern Sweden. All guests are provided with warm fur ponchos, mittens and shoes before entering. A vodka drink in an ice glass will be served and the staff will tell you more about the bar and the construction.
