Visby is situated on the island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea and is known for its thriving tourist industry. Visby is like a living museum full of medieval buildings, ruined churches and cobbled streets, which are all enclosed in a two and a half mile 13th century city wall.
Typical Excursion
Hiking in Gotland and Visby on foot: We drive to a small fishing village 4 miles outside Visby, where we begin our hike along the coastline. We stop for refreshments at the Villa Muramaris situated on a cliff terrace. Once back in Visby we a short walking tour that ends at the pier.
