Valparaiso is clustered along a crescent of hills and is made up of a maze of alleys, winding streets and its famous Funicular railcars.  This important city was once a major stopover for all types of ships travelling between the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans, and became known as ‘Little San Francisco’.  Valparaiso is known for having a picturesque port, fantastic wines and vineyards, historical sites and stunning mountaineous scenery.

Valparaiso Vina del Mar, Wine tasting & Lunch: The Casablanca Valley is renowned for its world quality wines.  We depart the ship and head out of Valparaiso towards the Casablanca Valley which boasts a perfect combination of climate, soil and vine.  Portillo Resort & Andes Mountains: We journey high into the Andes Mountains to Portillo situated 90 miles north of Santiago, close to the Argentinean border.  Portillo is famous for nestling between two mountains, the Mount Ojas de Agua and Mount La Parva, whilst the highest mountain in the Americas Mt Aconcagua at 6957 metres stands close by.
