This is our third cruise with P&O and I know they have a reputation for catering to the snobbish middle-aged set, but we are a family of two thirty-something

I absolutely loved this ship!! It's not the 1st ship I have been on but it is the first p&o ship and it was one of the best ships i have been on!! It had just had a refurbishment when me and my family joined it in December to do a mini cruise to Brugge. The cabins were a good size (considering there was three in my cabin!), the beds were so comfortable and they even have some of the best shower gels (molten brown) and little bits that you get in your cabin!! There was a group of us so we did see all the bars on board but the favourite with the group was champions which is like a sports bar.. The restaurants were really good and the food was fantastic! We did have some children in the group so we registered them with the kids club who were really great, there they did games and had discos and they even took them all to see the panto which they loved!! The service we got on board from both our cabin steward and waiters was brilliant and they are always happy and smiling and remember every ones name even after the first night. I would definitely recommend this ship and i will be going on it again in the near future..

This was the 2nd cruise on Aurora for me and it was superb! Food, service, entertainment and the cabins were excellent. The ship is full of facilities and things to do. One of my favourite ships and the ports of call were good also.

WOW our first crusing family holiday was on the magnifficent Aurora, an abosolutely brilliant holiday was had by all, the children spent most of the time with new friends and teamleaders in the childrens clubs, they were aged 9 and 10 so they had a little more freedom in their club they could come and go as they pleased which gave my husband and I time to ourselves and to socialise with other family and new friends. We knew the girls were safe and having fun, their social calendar was busier than ours !!, the entertainment, food, service and cabins were excellent, so many things to do, we can't wait to go on our next cruise. If you are thinking of crusing on the Aurora then I hope this review has made your mind up - Happy Cruising.

Overall an excellent cruise. The ship is great. We have had 3 cruises on Aurora now and each time have been greatly impressed with the level of service and the genuine friendliness of the staff. We cruised this time for 14 nights around the Fjords and the Lofoten Islands as well as the amazing Spitzbergen. The facilities onboard are excellent and offer a mix of venues for you to spend the days and eveings, socialising and drinking etc. There are a good range of sports and fitness facilities and an interesting range of special interest talks etc. This cruise was themed- a music festival at sea - but we really didn't bother too much with the entertainments this time as we made friends with a number of other guests and spent many a happy hour chatting and getting to know them. The captain (very dishy) did an amazing job of getting the ship close up to the Lillehook Glacier and we had the most incredible view of nature at it's most awesome as well as the privilege of seeing Pilot whales, porpoises, seals and reindeer during the 2 weeks. If you are disabled and want to try cruising, then go ahead. My husband and I find the ship very easy to negotiate and he is a fulltime w/chair user. The cabins are well designed as well. Note though that getting off the ship when the boat is not in dock can be impossible and bear this in mind when picking the cruise itinery. If you can walk a tiny bit you should be ok to use Tenders and staff are helpful. Shore excursions for the able bodied are great but be very careful about them if you are needing w/chair accessible ones as you will pay more - and may get less! Nowray is an expensive country to visit but you'd be unlikely to find a more beautiful place with nicer, friendlier people.
