The Carnival Sensation is one of Carnival Cruises’ ‘Golden Oldies’, but she’s still on the seas, providing passengers with unforgettable journeys, as she powers around the Bahamas. Taking up to 2,052 passengers and weighing in at 70,367 tons, the Carnival Sensation is categorically a large ship – and her decks provide a delightfully surprising array of entertainment, dining and relaxing possibilities.

Built in 1993, you might imagine the Carnival Sensation to feel dated – except there’s been a great renovation effort since then, and where the new design hasn’t superimposed itself on the old, there’s even a charming retro-feel to certain areas of the ship. Onboard you’ll find the main attractions are: the piano bar, Touch of Class, the Vegas-style shows in the Fantasia Lounge, which often shows varied and exciting comic performers, and the Polo Lounge, where participants play wild games of poker late into the night. You’ll find dining options on the Carnival Sensation varied and excellent – in the Diners there are tables that can accommodate ten diners, serving a tasty spa menu. Then the Sea View Bar and Grill on Lido Deck, serving great salads, pizzas, sandwiches, and hot deli sandwiches. There’s also a great little pizzeria, open 24 hours a day – you’ll also find ice cream and yoghurt around the clock. The Patisserie, ‘Café on the Way’ on Promenade Deck, offers great coffees and teas, milkshakes and cakes. Room service is available 24 hours a day. 

Entertainment comes fast and furious on Carnival Cruise’s Carnival Sensation; there’s the piano bar, Touch of Class, a hot ticket, and the Club Vegas Casino with its slots, blackjack tables, roulette, craps and poker offerings is another big draw. Fantasia Lounge offers mightily popular Vegas-themed shows. Carnival performers are handpicked for keeping a crowd thoroughly engaged. In addition to the song-and-dance treats in the Fantasia, a late night comic often entertains adults in the Plaza Lounge, while a pianist plays around the ship. For kids and teens, there’s the Circle C and the Club 02, where they’ll find video games, music and snacks, and a children’s area, for 2-11, under experienced supervision.

On your Carnival Sensation cruise, you’ll also find the Carnival Spa, tastefully finished to provide a scenic backdrop to some excellent relaxation services, including a variety of massages and facials, the deck is also home to a gym with state-of-the-art equipment and classes.
