Celebrity Equinox - Celebrity Cruises

The 122,000-ton, 2,850-passenger Celebrity Equinox, the second ship in Celebrity Cruises' pioneering Solstice class, set off on its maiden voyage from that famous launch spot of gargantuan ships, Southampton. 

Aboard your cruises with Celebrity Equinox, you’ll find a mixture of the comforting and the truly innovative – for good example, there’s The Lawn Club, a specialised area on the top deck of the ship that features real, growing grass, where passengers can play croquet or golf; the Hot Glass Show, the first glass-blowing studio at sea; large, standard staterooms, 85 percent of which built with verandas; and Quasar, a futuristic disco that’s suggestive of the space-age. On your ocean break, you’ll find that Celebrity Equinox boasts 10 restaurants, with a real zestful diversity, covering all bases from French to Asian-fusion. There’s the ubiquitous – but no less impressive – AquaSpa complex that will refresh you right down to your core. And there are family activities and those specially suited for children and teens, with the riotous Fun Factory.

Facilities on Celebrity Equinox

The main dining room, Silhouette, is where the majority of guests go for their meals; the two-deck restaurant is open daily for waiter-service breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dinner is offered in two seatings – one at 6:15 p.m. and another at 8:45 p.m. Those looking for a casual dining experience can make their way to the Oceanview Cafe. From breakfast and afternoon snacks to dinner and late-night bites, there is something to suit every palate in this large open plan. All of the alternative dining venues are located in one convenient spot - these include Silk Harvest, the Asian-fusion place; Tuscan Grille, the Italian steakhouse; and Murano, the expensive but fashionable fine-dining venue. 

For general good-times and entertainment on your Celebrity Equinox cruise, there’s The Lawn Club, for those wishing to try their hand at golf or croquet, and Hot Glass Show areas, with glass-blowing on exhibit. The splendid Martini Bar with its ice-topped bar also makes for one of the most popular before-dinner drinking venues. For the shopaholic, there are a total of 18 spots at which you can spend your cash. From the Galleria Boutiques on Deck 5 to the shops on the Boulevard on Deck 4, you can buy everything from ostentatious jewellery to your daily necessities. For kids, there is the excellent X-Club youth programme, broken into an aged-themed five-tier system.

For ultimate relaxation on your Celebrity Equinox cruises, you’ll want to head to the AquaSpa complex, where after all the usual, staggeringly modern pampering care, you can dine at the spa restaurant, Blu – a real hit with everyone who experiences it.
