Cruises on Ocean Countess

 

Ocean Countess joined the Cruise & Maritime Voyages fleet in April 2010, following a £3 million refurbishment programme.  The Ship originally entered service as Cunard Countess and becames one of the best-known ships to sail the Carribean Sea.  With her distinctive traditional profile, the 800 passengers Ocean Countess has seven passenger decks, a generous amount of deck space, is stabilised and air conditioned throughout, and offers a truly relaxed and friendly atmosphere.  On board public facilities inlcude the comfortable Holyrood Show Lounge, and Tower Piano Bar with its panoramic views, well-stocked library and card tables, and Hamptons for late night entertainment and to try your luck in the casion.  Ocean Countess offers traditional two sitting dinning in the Kensington Restaurant or, as an alternative, enjoy a buffet at the Boat House (subject to weather conditions).  In addition, she provides a shopping gallery, internet cafe and the Jade Wellness Centre with Gym, sauna, spa, massage, hairdressing and beauty facilities.  She offers extensive deck areas, a heated swimming pool, two whirlpools and a pool bar.l

Cabins of Ocean Countess

Category 1 Standard Inside Twin

Located on Admiral Deck, these cabins have two lower beds. The majority of these cabins can accommodate a third or fourth passenger in upper Pullman berths.

Category 2 Standard Twin Inner

These standard cabins with two lower beds are situated on Main Deck and most have upper Pullman berths for a third or fourth occupant.  Cabins 4145 and 4147 are specially equipped for wheelchair passengers.

Category 3 Standard Plus Twin Inner

These standard cabins with two lower beds are situated on Main Deck and most have upper Pullman berths for a third or fourth occupant.  Cabins 4145 and 4147 are specially equipped for wheelchair passengers.

Category 4 Superior Twin Inner

There are fourteen Superior Twin Inner cabins with lower beds on Upper Deck and ten conveniently located on Promenade Deck. Some can accommodate a third or fourth passenger in upper Pullman berths.

Category 5 Standard Single Inner

On Main Deck there are ten cabins particularly suited to the single traveller.

Category 6 Standard Twin Ocean View

Situated on Admiral Deck, these cabins have twin lower beds with ocean views through portholes. Some of these category of cabins can accommodate a third occupant in an upper Pullman berth. Cabin 3013 has a Queen Size bed.

Category 7 Standard Twin Ocean View

Comprising two lower beds, some with an upper Pullman berth, all have ocean views through portholes and are located on Main Deck.

Category 8 Standard Plus Twin Ocean View

This grade of ocean view cabins with portholes can be found in the forward section on Reception Deck. Cabin 5003 has a Queen Size bed, all other cabins have two lower beds.

Category 9 Superior Twin Ocean View

These cabins are all situated on Reception Deck and comprise two lower beds and ocean views through windows.

Category 10 Standard Single Ocean View

Ten cabins suited for sole occupancy with ocean views through portholes, have been selected on Admiral Deck and Main Deck.

Category DL De Luxe

There are four De Luxe cabins situated on Upper Deck with Queen Size beds. They have windows but with restricted views of the outside deck, bathrooms with bath and shower and mini bar facilities.

Category JD Junior Suite Double Bed

These twelve Junior Suites on Upper Deck enjoy ocean views through windows. They comprise Queen Size beds and an integral sitting area, a bathroom with bath and shower and a mini bar.

Category JT Junior Suite Twin Bed

There are just eight Junior Suites with twin lower beds positioned on Promenade Deck. They provide an integral sitting area and ocean views through windows. They also feature baths with showers and a mini bar facility.

Category OS Owners Suite

Spoil yourself with one of these two Owner’s Suites that provide a spacious retreat in a prime position on Upper Deck. They offer a Queen Size bed, bathroom with bath and shower, mini bar and a comfortable sitting area with ocean view windows. These suites can accommodate a third person on a sofa bed.
