MS Statendam - Holland America Cruises

The MS Statendam is one of the smaller ships in the Holland America Cruises fleet. This sleek vessel offers guests a range of exciting attractions, along with the luxurious, traditional stylings that guests have come to expect from 130 years of Holland America cruises.

With space onboard for 1,380 guests, the MS Statendam enjoys a rich and varied social scene, and passengers can enjoy a wide array of restaurants, bars, shops and sporting facilities. Take advantage of a video arcade, a library, or even an internet café onboard.

A wide selection of staterooms is available for guests, and these range from comfortable modern cabins, through to lavish penthouse suites! All staterooms come fitted with comforts such as air-conditioning, en-suite bathroom and a television – equipped with an extensive catalogue of movies.

Families are welcome onboard the MS Statendam. A number of children’s programs are run for younger passengers, with Club HAL offering activities for those aged 3-12. Older children, up to an age of 17, can enjoy their own venues, such as the Loft and the Oasis, where they can hang out and make new friends.

Alternatively, take the kids for a buffet at the Explorer’s Lounge, or enjoy a cocktail (or two), as you take in a stage spectacular at the MS Statendam Show Lounge.

The MS Statendam boasts a number of swimming pools, with features such as sundecks and whirlpool baths, as well as great facilities for young children. Guests can head down to the fitness centre for a workout, or to play a game of tennis or basketball!

Alternatively, why not drop the children off at one of the kid’s lounges, and pamper yourself with a treatment from the Greenhouse Spa and Salon? Here you can enjoy invigorating massage, or a rejuvenating anti-wrinkle facial.

At the end of the day, enjoy an evening stroll along the MS Statendam ‘s deck promenade, taking in the ocean view, and the ship’s majestic glass atrium with its 26 feet high ‘Fountain of the Siren' statue.
