Adonia - P&O Cruises
P&O Adonia is a new addition to the P&O range, and with room for only 710 passengers, this small, sleek vessel is certainly the most intimate ship in their fleet. Open to adults only, the Adonia features eight classically styled decks, complimented with elegant décor and a good variety of onboard facilities and entertainment.
One of the benefits of the size, is that this 180 metre long vessel can fit into ports that have up till now been left off the destinations of larger cruise ships. Sailing from Southampton, the P&O Adonia traverses the Mediterranean, Aegean and Ionian seas, calling at destinations across Spain, Italy, Croatia, Greece and Turkey.
A cruise on Adonia combines the comforts of a high-class hotel with all the excitement of a resort town. On top of this, you’ll be able to enjoy excursions to a number of fascinating, cultural destinations.
In fitting with their impeccable standards of service, P&O request that guests aboard the P&O Adonia observe a dress code of smart casuals. Longer cruises will also feature optional formal nights, when gents will be expected to sport a black tie, and ladies to wear elegant dresses.
Facilities on Adonia
The P&O Adonia boasts a selection of dining options, ranging from the main restaurant with its six course silver service, to a number of speciality restaurants. Sorento’s, for example, is an Italian restaurant serving a range of popular Mediterranean cuisine. Alternatively, head down to the Ocean Grill, for burgers, steaks, and an excellent selection of fresh seafood.
Passengers can also make use of a number of bars and lounges, including P&O’s signature ‘Crow’s Nest’ observation lounge. Here you can watch the coastline drift away, or gaze out to sea, while enjoying a coffee or a long drink from the bar. The Grand Lounge features a dance floor for later in the evening, and a stage to feature after-dinner entertainments and guest speakers. Then there’s Anderson’s – an intimate lounge bar with a fireplace, named after P&O founder, Arthur Anderson.
Other facilities on the P&O Adonia include an extensive library, as well as a gymnasium and spa. You’ll have the option of getting a work-out before dinner, or indulging yourself with one of the many spa treatments available, ranging from slimming treatments and anti-wrinkle facials, to sensual aromatherapy massage.
