The P&O Artemis is the smallest ship in the P&O fleet, and this sleek, stylish vessel is unique, in that it was the first ship in British history to be named at sea. With a weight of 45,000 tonnes and just 757 feet in length, the P&O Artemis offers passengers all the luxury of a large cruise liner, in an intimate and cosy environment.
Cruises on P&O Artemis are aimed at adults only, and reflect a traditional, mature approach to cruise holidays. Join the crew of the Artemis for holidays around the Mediterranean, South America, and cruises to the Baltic Fjords.
The ship is well equipped with a large number of leisure pursuits and activities, including three lounges, an observation deck and a range of shopping facilities. Passengers on the P&O Artemis can make use of a library, a games room or a computer room with full Internet access.
Those who enjoy physical recreation will be delighted with the facilities on the P&O Artemis. There is a spa onboard, offering a range of different treatments, as well as a gymnasium, a selection of sports courts, a golf simulator and a total of three swimming pools.
Passengers on the P&O Artemis can dine in style at the Main Coral Dining Room. This elegant venue features tasteful décor with a selection of paintings on the walls, and views to both port and starboard sides. The menu offers a wide range of dishes, reflecting cuisines from all around the world.
Alternatively, there’s the informal buffet restaurant, The Conservatory. This eatery can be found on the top Lido deck, and again features floor-to-ceiling windows, which offer spectacular views over the surrounding ocean.
There are a further seven bars onboard the P&O Artemis, including favourites such as The Horizon Bar; high atop the ship, this welcoming bar commands excellent views, and would be the perfect place to watch the sun set, while enjoying a cocktail. Alternatively, visit the Artemis’ Starlight’s Bar, which promises to keep you up to date with televised news broadcasts during the day, as well as offering evening dance lessons!
Other attractions on the P&O Artemis include the Festival Theatre, a great venue for plays, performances and lectures, or the Monte Carlo Casino. There is also a cinema showing the latest new releases, and a nightclub where guests can go to dance the night away.

The Artemis is on the small side for P&O, but a nice ship. However, the entertainment left a lot to be desired. appart from some lectures by an ex concord pilot, and an ex jockey/ tv presenter, the were aimed at a very old audience. the food was acceptable and the service was very good. two excursions were satisfying- the flaam mountain railway and the trip to the Briksda glacier, although this was strenuousl. The scenery in the fjords was wonderfull.
